Google Blocks Facebook From Getting Your GMail Contacts

Google is shutting its doors on some applications that want to use your GMail contacts - like Facebook.

In the past, with your permission, other sites and applications could access your Google contacts and import them.

Now, Google will only allow this if the site that's asking permission also has a free-share policy.  It's seen as a direct hit at Facebook, which gives you the option to import your GMail contacts and ask them if they want to be Facebook friends.
