One of the features we're all breathless for in the upcoming iOS4.2 update is wifi printing.
Apple is calling it AirPrint and Steve Jobs told the world it would mean you can print from your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch to a printer connected to the same wifi network as your device.
We all liked this....especially for the iPad.
Well, Apple Insider is now reporting that when iOS4.2 is released (and it could be Friday), it won't have this much-hyped feature. Instead, iDevices will only be able to connect to a few HP wifi printers.
It appears Apple has failed to come up with apps for Macs and PCs to make network printing work. It's even suggested Apple may drop this planned feature completely.
Some of us were expecting iOS4.2 to drop earlier this week - could the delay be caused by the AirPrint problems?
