Apple "Expects iPad-2 To Sell Six Million A Month"

We know Apple is preparing for the launch of the iPad-2 and it will probably be thinner, have a better screen and sport at least one camera for video-calling.

Now the Chinese-language DigiTimes tech paper is reporting the comapny is preparing to ship six-million of the new iPads each month - that's two-million more than production levels of the current device.

To reach these targets, the paper says, Apple has enlisted two additional touchscreen manufacturers - Chimei Innolux and Cando. And word has it the new iPad will have the same 9.7-inch screen size as the original.

It's thought parts manufacturers will start shipping in January or February, with a product launch in the Spring.
