I like this. It's an idea that could make your life at a computer much easier.Apple has applied for a patent in the United States to produce a system to enable individual keys on a keyboard to be backlit with multiple colours.
The application says: "Most conventional keyboards lack the ability to convey complex information to a user (such as, for example, more information than just whether the CAPS lock key is on). And while some conventional keyboards may include backlit keys, conventional keyboards with backlighting do not offer the ability to dynamically control lighting schemes for each of the keys individually based on interaction from the user."
Seems like an excellent idea to me. The lights could even flag up what keys to press for different keyboard commands.
