A free sat-nav app for the iPhone and iPad has been launched in the Apple App Store in the United States.
Navfree USA gives turn-by-turn direction with voice guidance. And it stores the maps on your device, so no using your data allowance by downloading maps on the hoof. In fact, the app is a 1.6GB download.
The developer, Navmii, says versions of the app for Europe and for the Android OS are "coming soon".
