Google has updated its app store on smartphones running the Android operating system...and it's scrapped its 24-hour returns policy.The Android Market upgrade is available for all phones running Android 1.6 or higher, which is the majority of devices.
It adds a carousel to the market homescreen and scrolling and transitions are much smoother.
All app details are now shown on a single page and parental control for sensitive content is improved.
The Market has been famous for its 24-hour returns policy but that's now scrapped and replaced by 15 minutes. Yes, you now have 15 minutes to decide if you want to keep an app. Developers have been pressing for this for some time claiming customers were abusing the system by downloading games, completing them and then returning them.
The Android Market now has more than 100,000 apps, compared with 300,000 in the Apple App Store.
