Google's excellent web browser, Chrome, is being updated to Version 9.One of the major new features is Instant Search: type in the search/address box and a list of best guesses appears. It's the same as the Instant Search now in use if you search from the Google website.
Version 9 will also be faster, according to Google. And I must admit it already seems the fastest of the bunch anyway.
Google's also launching a Chrome App Store, full of free and paid-for apps to enhance your browsing experience. For example, the New York Times will be releasing an app to make reading the paper easier straight from your Chrome browser.
