Google has sent out invitations to journalists for "an event" where the search giant will "share some exciting news about Chrome".
The "event" is on Tuesday, December 7 in San Francisco, and it's widely thought it will be to unveil the much-anticipated new Google Chrome Operating system.
It's believed Chrome OS will be targeted at netbooks, laptops and perhaps desktops.

Of course, it will go head-to-head with Windows, Mac OS and Linux.
Don't forget, Google is also behind the Android OS, which is being used widely on smartphones and more recently on tablets.
While Android is specifically aimed at touchscreen devices, Chrome OS will be for devices using a physical keyboard. It's thought Google will demonstrate the new OS on a Google-branded netbook.
