UK mobile networks, Orange and T-Mobile, are now offering iPads on contract...but it ain't cheap. The two networks both have the same parent company and their prices are virtually the same.
The basic 16GB device with WiFi and 3G will cost you £199 up-front if you sign a two-year contract at £27 a month. That gets you 1GB "anytime" data, another 1GB "quiet time midnight-4pm", and unlimited BT Openzone hotspot WiFi.
If you're already an Orangeor T-Mobile customer, the cost goes down to £25 a month.
A top-of-the-range 64GB machine costs £349 up-front on the same contract.
I work that out as a total of £847 for a 16GB iPad.
