It's happened. We all saw it coming. And now it's happened.
According to figures from Nielsen, the iPhone has overtaken RIM's Blackberry as the most popular smartphone in the US by market share.
Apple's been biting at RIM's heals for several months, but this is the first time the well-respected Nielsen analysts have put it at No.1.
It's a close thing though: Apple has 27.9% share and Blackberry has 27.4% share.
But both Apple and RIM are loosing ground to Google's Android operating system, which rose from 19% to 22.7% share in October.
Android is growing fast and looks almost certain to overtake both Apple and RIM next year.
But remember, Android is just the operating system produced by Google and used by most major mobile phone manufacturers worldwide.
