The Register is reporting that a computer consultant will next week reveal a new method of jailbreaking iPhones, iPads and iPods.Stefan Esser will apparently present his method - called Antid0te - to a conference of computer security experts in South Korea on December 14.
The register says Esser claims his jailbreak method will add an extra layer of security to iDevices to make them less vulnerable to malware attacks. There are fears that other jailbreaks can made Apple devices more vulnerable.
The iPhone Dev-Team has already released a Redsn0w jailbreak for the latest iOS4.2.1, but it leaves newer devices, including the iPhone 4 and the iPad, untethered, which means they may have to be connected to a computer each time they are rebooted.
