The fierce circulation battle between New York's two tabloid newspapers is moving from print to the iPad.The New York Post already has an iPad app and now the New York Daily News has launched one as well.
And the News has upped the anti by undercutting its rival's price. The News is charging $1.99 for a one-month trial, then subscriptions of $7.99 for six months or $11.99 for 12 months.
That's undercutting the Post by more than 80%.
This is even more evidence that newspapers are still flaying around in the dark when it comes to iPad edition charges, which is good for the consumer and hopefully good in the long run for papers with ever-decreasing print circulation figures.
