The Apple App Store has reached ten billion downloads.
Phew.
Perhaps we can stop writing about it now.
No we cant. That's 10,000,000,000 since the store opened two-and-a-half years ago. That's nearly one-and-a-half times the population of the World.
And someone somewhere has won $10,000 for being number ten billion. Well, not cash...but iTunes vouchers.
Right. Now we can stop writing about it.
Update: Well we can nearly stop. Apple has just announced the winner of the ten-billionth download was Gail Davis from Orpington in Kent, UK. Congratulations!
