Apple's First Logo Remembered

OK. No news here. Move on.

Or you can stay and remember - if you're old enough - Apple's first logo.

It was designed by Apple co-founder Ronald Wayne for the company's launch in 1976 and looks like a 70's album cover.

It's gravity-man Sir Isaac Newton with an apple dangling over him with the tag: "A mind forever voyaging through strange seas of thought...alone". Sounds like a lyric from a 70's album. But we must thank Wordsworth for it.

Steve Jobs thought the logo was crap not very good and scrapped it a year later for the iconic apple-with-a-bite-out-of-it.

"Byte Into An Apple" - geddit? Clever.
