Apple's Shares Soar As Money Markets See Bright Year Ahead

Apple's share price has consistently broken records over the past year...and on the first day of Wall Street trading of 2011, it did it again.

Apple stock was trading at nearly $330, another all-time high, giving the company a market capitalisation of more than $300-billion.

The Apple company is now worth around $302-billion.

And it looks like a fairly steady, if uninventive, year ahead.

First, there'll be a new iPad, tidying up on the features the first release missed, like cameras, video-calling and a slimmer design.  Around the same time, there'll be a new iPhone 4...you won't notice much difference on the outside, but the inside will work with networks like Verizon in the US and dozens using the same technology in Asia.

Then, later in the year, a brand-new iPhone 5, which you can be sure won't have the flaws the hampered the launch of the iPhone 4, like yellow screens and death-grip signal failure.

Add to that iTunes going into the cloud, with WiFi syncing of  music, video, calendar and contacts, and it looks like Apple stock will continue to break records despite recessions.
