Installing new themes on your iPhone is one of the major reasons for jailbreaking. And it now looks like it will be getting easier with two competing theme stores.
The Cydia store on jailbroken phones has just had a revamp to launch a new "Theme Section", where selected paid-for and free themes are featured. Each has a screenshot and easy to follow instructions on what device they're designed for.
The Cydia update comes just hours before a new app is due to be launched called "Theme it", which will also feature themes for download. The "Theme it" app is scheduled for launch on Monday, January 24, in Cydia.
So, after years of hit-and-miss theme selection for iPhone users, it looks like a bit of competition is going to make it easier for all of us to theme our devices. At last.
