That venerable US consumer champion, Consumer Reports magazine, really has it in for Apple these days.
It's now warning people off getting the newly-announced Verizon iPhone. You'll remember it also slammed the iPhone 4 when it first came out because of its deathgrip problem and refused to recommend it. Well, it looks like it's doing the same for the Verizon incarnation.
CR describes the iPhone 4 as "middle-aged". And it warns that, with Apple due to announce a new iPhone in June or July, this will be "a transitional phone to tide Verizon through to the summer".
Sounds absolutely correct to me.
