The Cydia App Store on jailbroken iPhones has a new redesigned section for downloading themes.
It comes just hours before "Theme it" app is due to be launched, which aims at providing another store on jailbroken devices to provide themes. The app is scheduled to be downloadable from Cydia tomorrow.
The new Cydia layout is a big improvement, but to be honest the old layout was dreadful so any change is good.
It now sections themes into iPhone 4 Retina, themes for older devices, and featured themers.
And you get a thumbnail next to each theme, which are a mixture of paid-for and free.
But the themes in this section are only the ones that Cydia decides to feature. There are still hundreds of other themes in Cydia that you take a chance with...some work, some don't.
It will be interesting to see how this Cydia redesign battles it out with ThemeIt.
A couple of days ago, Cydia's developer, Jay Freeman, added another new section which lists your purchased apps for easier re-downloading. It's good to see that Cydia is slowly getting faster and easier to navigate.
