HP Looks Set For Big webOS Relaunch In February

The invitation to the Press from HP reads: "Think big. Think small. Think beyond".

Apart from thinking " HP are trying to do an Apple", it must surely mean the company is now at last ready for a proper relaunch of its webOS operating system.

HP bought Palm, who invented webOS, last summer and has been promising to do something with its acquisition ever since.

You may remember a couple of years ago Palm showed off a pre-production smartphone running the OS.  It was well received, but it took Palm so long to get the device on the market, others - namely the iPhone - had already filled the void.

So, it looks like on February 9, in San Francisco, HP will promise us an array of tablets and smartphones running webOS.

Let's hope they get them into production quickly.
