iPad-2 "To go On Sale On April 2 or 9"

A German tech website is saying it has "reliable information" that the new iPad-2 will go on sale in the United States on either Saturday April 2 or Saturday April 9 and will be US-exclusive for up to three months before going global.

MacNotes.de says the new device will only be available through Apple initially with other retailers having to wait as long as October before getting it to sell.

This would very much follow the launch schedule of the current iPad last year, except for the claim the new device will be Apple-Store-only for up to six months. It's known that Apple has been ramping up production and it seems strange it wouldn't want the iPad-2 to be sold by other shops.

It's widely expected the new device will be thinner and have front and back facing cameras.
