iPad Fails to Kill Kindle

It's official. The iPad has not killed the Kindle.

In fact, the iPad and the Kindle seem to be both romping happily forward into the brave new tech world.

A survey by JP Morgan says 40% of iPad owners also have a Kindle. And another 23% of iPad owners say they plan to buy a Kindle in the next 12 months.

Amazon have carefully kept the Kindle as a lower-cost,  niche book-reading device and steered away from add-ons like web surfing and emailing. And it looks like it's worked. An estimated eight million new-design Kindles were sold last year.

That's what you've got two hands for...one for an iPad the other for a Kindle.
