In fact, the iPad and the Kindle seem to be both romping happily forward into the brave new tech world.
A survey by JP Morgan says 40% of iPad owners also have a Kindle. And another 23% of iPad owners say they plan to buy a Kindle in the next 12 months.
Amazon have carefully kept the Kindle as a lower-cost, niche book-reading device and steered away from add-ons like web surfing and emailing. And it looks like it's worked. An estimated eight million new-design Kindles were sold last year.
That's what you've got two hands for...one for an iPad the other for a Kindle.
