Verizon Confirms iPhone 4 Deal...Goes On Sale February 10

Verizon Website

US network Verizon has confirmed it will be selling the iPhone 4...breaking AT&T's monopoly on the device in the United States.

It will be available on the network from February 10, with pre-ordering starting February 3 for existing customers.  Pricing will start at $199.99 up-front on a two-year contract - the same price as AT&T.

Verizon was at pains to stress its iPhone 4 will have exactly the same features as all iPhone 4s...including FaceTime video-calling, Retina display and 5MP camera.  The device has been adapted by Apple to work on Verizon's CDMA network - all other iPhone 4s are designed for GSM networks.  And one plus is the device will work as a mobile wifi hotspot.  You'll be able to connect up to five devices.

So, yet another mobile carrier looses its exclusive iPhone deal...

Like the wi-fi hotspot extra. Hope that will come on to all iPhones.
