The Catholic Church has approved an iPhone app that guides worshippers through confession.
The app - "Confession: A Roman Catholic App" - describes itself as "the perfect aid for every penitent".
Users can choose a commandment, and then literally tick off their sins. And if you can't find your particular sin listed, it's ok, you can add your own.
Unfortunately, the app can't give you absolution: it says it will help you "understand your actions" before you visit a priest. And there's no video-link to a priest, or anyone else, for forgiveness.
The app was approved by the Catholic Church in America - but is available worldwide - and follows Pope Benedict XVl urging Christians to embrace the digital age.
Somewhat surprisingly, the road to forgiveness isn't free. The app costs £1.19/$1.99 from the Apple App Store.
