If you're waiting wallet-closed for the Motorola Xoom tablet to be released, get ready to prise it wide open.
A flyer has leaked from the Best Buy retail chain in the US pricing it at at $800...and giving a release date of February 24.
Let's try to translate that into UK pricing, including the usual UK mark-up and VAT, and you're talking about at least £650. That's more than a 32GB iPad with WiFi and 3G connections.
And remember, a new iPad is only a few months away.
The Xoom, which will run the new Android Honeycomb operating system is being looked on as a real challenger to the iPad. But certainly not in price.
