The New York Times has announced it's to launch an iPad-only newspaper. And the announcement has come just hours before arch-rival Rupert Murdoch takes to the stage to launch his iPad-only "The Daily".
The NYT offering - "News.me" - won't be quite the same: It'll base its stories on your Twitter feeds and filter them by how many times they've been read and shared.
In contrast, News Corp's "The Daily" has a specially-hired team of 100-odd journalists in New York who will churn out constantly updating stories.
"The Daily" will be launched today and we've already reported that its boss got promotion on the eve of the launch, presumably as a thank you for his hard work.
