Yahoo has announced it planning a series of iPad apps called Livestand. It describes it as "a digital newsstand, delivering a wealth of ever-changing content from multiple publishers continuously programmed by a person's interests and contexts".
To be honest, it just sounds like PR-speak, but it seems to mean a series of apps - for example News, Sport and Finance - that will stream content in a magazine format.....something a bit like the Flipboard newsreader app.
Yahoo says the apps will be released in the first half of this year. It says there will be deals with other publishers, but gives no details and there's no price - if any - released either.
