They sold out in the US within 24-hours. They're selling on eBay for $4,000. If you want one, the waiting time is now up to a month.
While we have no official figures, it's obvious the iPad 2 has been a spectacular sales success with estimates as high as one million sold since launch in the US three days ago.
The nearest we've got so far to official sales figures is Apple PR Trudy Muller who spoke to The Loop:
“Demand for the next generation iPad 2 has been amazing. We are working hard to get iPad 2 into the hands of every customer who wants one as quickly as possible.”After the US launch, the iPad 2 will go on sale in other countries, including the UK, on March 25.
