Google Music iTunes Rival Starts Testing

Google's rival to iTunes - Google Music - has started pre-launch testing.

cnet is reporting the search giant is trialling its music service with employees - usually seen as a forerunner to a public release.

It's thought Google Music will use cloud storage for your music collection so you don't have to clutter up your hard-disc, a move Apple is believed to be planning as well for iTunes.

But Google still has some hoops to jump through. Industry sources have told cnet that the company is still locked in talks with music labels and publishers to try to work out a deal.
