Random House "Set To Join Apple iBooks Store"

After months of negotiating, it look like one of the world's biggest book publishers, Random House, is about to join Apple's iBooks store.

It's been a big gap in the store since it launched with the iPad last year.

The block was because of Apple's insistence on "Agency Pricing", where publishers set the retail price of their products and Apple takes its usual 30% cut.

Apple needs Random House, which already publishes on Amazon's Kindle, to compete successfully with other eBook stores.
