Saurik Promises Cydia App Store Update Will Be Faster But No Multi-Tasking

An update for the Cydia app store on jailbroken iOS devices is in the offing and now we know it will bring a significant speed increase, but there'll be no multi-tasking and no app ratings or comments section.

How do we know this? Because the developer behind Cydia, Jay Freeman aka saurik, says so. He's replied to a post on the Cydia update at iPhoneDownloadBlog:

Thank you all, by the way, for your interest in Cydia: the fact that you care at all about what features are or are not in Cydia 1.1 means a lot to everyone working on the project.

Cydia is loaded onto your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch when you jailbreak and lets you download hundreds of free and paid-for tweaks, apps and themes that Apple wouldn't allow in the Apple App Store
