The Wall Street Journal will today start selling individual editions on its iPad app for $1.99 - with Apple getting its 30% cut.
It'll be an in-app purchase and it's the papers first move in this direction. Apple is insisting all subscription publications offer in-app purchases by June 30.
At the moment, a subscription to the WSJ costs $3.99 a week and gives access to its website and iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry apps. Subscription payments can only be made on its website.
The paper says the one-edition selling is seen as giving a taster for potential subscribers.
