A new magazine-style newsreader app has been launched today for the iPad - but this one learns what you like to read as you use it. Think an intelligent Flipboard.
Zite lets you select either your Twitter or Google Reader feed to display in slide-over pages with photos.
But when you select a story to read, you have personalisation options. The app asks you if you enjoyed reading the story or not, if you want more stories from the same source and if you want more stories on the same subject.
You also have options to share the story on Twitter, Facebook and email.
It's a fantastic concept, and the developers are hoping it will gets users from the likes of Flipboard and Pulse who want their content filtered and customised.
It must be said that compared with the very slick Flipboard, it looks a little rough at the edges...transitions are fairly basic, but it's early days and the app includes a Feedback section.
I haven't used it long enough to confirm how well the customisation works, but I'll report back.
