Apple is suing Samsung claiming the Korean electronics giant has copied the iPhone and the iPad.
Even in the world of big lawsuits, this is a biggie.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple has started legal action alleging Samsung has copied the "look and feel" of its devices.
In particular, Apple claims Samsung copied the iPhone with the Galaxy S smartphone (pic above shows the Samsung on the left, iPhone 4 right)...and copied the iPad with the Galaxy Tab.
"Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone products and computer tablets, Samsung chose to copy Apple's technology, user interface and innovative style in these infringing products."It's interesting Apple specifically mentions "user interface", which could mean the Google Android operating system on Samsung devices. Or it could mean the "skin" Samsung put on top of Android.
Now Apple in court against Google. That would be a biggie.
