The Chinese authorities have blocked iPad newsreader app Flipboard.
It's the latest victim of the Great Firewall of China, which already blocks many websites including Facebook and Twitter.
Flipboard was a way round this. Users in China could access any news feed and also the two social networking sites because feeds came direct from Flipboard servers in the US.
Flipboard CEO Mike McCue says the app unwittingly poked a hole in the Chinese wall. He's presuming the ban would be lifted if Flipboard blocked Facebook and Twitter itself.
Strange thing is...the Flipboard app is still available for download in Apple's Chinese App Store.
