iPad Captures 82% Of US Tablet Market

Apple is well and truly cleaning up with the iPad.  Figures just released show the iPad has captured 82% of the tablet market in the US.

The Nielsen marketing company figures show rival tablets have simply failed to make a significant impression.

The second most popular tablet is the Samsung Galaxy Tab with just 4% market share, followed by Dell with 3% and the Motorola Xoom with 2%.

If the iPads sold in the US, there's an equal split between WiFi-only devices and WiFi-and-3G devices.
