DigiTimes, that bible of all things Far East and Electronic, is reporting that Apple is revising down its estimated shipping totals for the iPhone 4, preparing the way for the launch of its successor, widely believed to be the iPhone 4S.
That would put the new device on track for a release in September, three months behind Apple's normal annual iPhone release cycle.
And basically it will be a souped up version of the current iPhone 4 - faster processor, probably an eight megapixel camera and possibly a slightly larger screen. although the overall dimensions and design of the device won't change much.
