Apple To Start Selling Unlocked iPhone 4 In US This Week?

Apple blogs are rumbling with a new rumour...that unlocked versions of the iPhone 4 will be going on sale in Apple Stores in the US for the first time on Wednesday, June 15.

It started with a tweet (above) from a fairly new Twitter account, @chronicwire, which bloggers and observers seem to be taking fairly seriously.

As well as predicting an unlocked iPhone 4, @chronicwire also says Apple Store displays will be updated on Tuesday, June 14, to launch Apple's annual "Back-To-School" promotion, which usually sees students getting a free iPod Touch when buying a Mac computer.

It's reported that this year's promotion could also include $200 off the cost of an iPad 2 when bought with a Mac.
