iBooks Is Updated With "Read Aloud" For Kids

The iBooks app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch has been updated with "read aloud".

Some children's books have this feature, where books are read out by a recorded narrator.

"Help your children learn to read with the new read-aloud feature included in select children's books from the iBookstore. The read-aloud feature uses a real narrator to read the book to you, and in some books, it will even highlight the words as you read along."

So now you can stick your kids in front of the iPad instead of the TV.

iBooks is free in the Apple App Store.
