Apple could be facing a big legal damages bill.
AFP is reporting the company has made a cash payout to a lawyer in South Korea who sued over locationgate.
There was uproar earlier this year, when it was revealed iPhones were recording users location information, which was syncing with PCs. Apple reacted by cutting the amount of info recorded and cutting the syncing link.
It's reported a court in South Korea awarded lawyer Kim Hyung-Suk damages of $950. He argued that the data collection violated his privacy.
Apple, apparently, didn't contest the case, which is expected to trigger other South Koreans to do the same. There are about three million iPhones in the country.
