Jailbreaker Releases Patch To Fix The Apple Flaw That Allows The Jailbreak

Earlier today, hacker Comex released JailbreakMe to jailbreak all iOS devices including, for the first time, the iPad 2.

It's a super-simple jailbreak involving surfing to www.jailbreakme.com using your device Safari browser and hitting a button.

The jailbreak uses a PDF security flaw in the Apple iOS to get into your device and install the jailbreak.

Comex has now released a patch to plug this hole, so it can't be used for unscrupulous purposes by other websites.  It's called PDF Patcher 2 and you can get it free in the Cydia app store on jailbroken devices.

For people not wanting to jailbreak, Apple will surely patch it with the next iOS update.
