The first jailbreak for the iPad 2 has been released and it also works on the iPhone and iPod Touch as well running iOS4.3 and above.
Support for earlier iOS versions will follow.
JailbreakMe has been launched by its developer Comex. The method is very simple and can be done on your device with no need to connect it to your PC.
Using the Safari browser on your device, head over to www.JailbreakMe.com. Hit the "Free" button which turns into "Install". Hit "Install" and the jailbreak will happen. The Cydia app store will be installed on your device.
Users say if it fails to work properly, clear your Safari cookies and cache and try again.
