9to5mac is reporting that the Gold Master beta version of Apple's next Mac operating system - OS X Lion - has been released to developers to test.
The Gold Master version is usually the final beta before the public release.
Apple has said Lion will be released in July, so it seems it could be very soon. It'll cost £20.99/$29.99 and will only be available for download in the Mac App Store.
