OS X Lion Hits Top Spot In Mac App Store





It's not surprising really, but OS X Lion has hit No.1 spot in Top Paid Apps in the Mac App Store, just hours after being released.

It's the first time a PC operating system has been distributed entirely by download, although it will be available on USB memory stick next month.

And judging by comments on Twitter, most people who've forked out £20.99/$29.99 seem very happy with the experience. It's a big download - nearly 4GB - and can take up to an hour on an average broadband connection.

Lion's overall score in the UK App Store is five stars on more than 1800 ratings. And the comments are positive too:
