The European music-streaming service Spotify has confirmed it's planning to launch in the US. It doesn't say when, apart from "soon".
The Swedish-based service offers eight million tracks with a free PC streaming service supports by ads, a no-ad service for £4.99 a month and a Premium service which includes support for mobile devices and off-line listening for £9.99 a month.
With a US launch, Spotify could become a real rival to the big players including Apple's iCloud as well as Google and Amazon's streaming services.
The US confirmation comes on a new page on the Spotify website where your can sign-up for an invitation.
