Brace yourself America. Spotify is about to arrive.
The phenomenally successful European steaming music service is set to launch in the US on Thursday, July 14, according to The Financial Times.
We knew a US launch was imminent, and now we have a date.
There'll be a free service with ads, a $4.99-a-month service to stream on PCs, and a Premium $9.99 service that lets you stream on PCs and mobile devices. Spotify has apps for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, all of which are free to download.
Update: Spotify has now confirmed its US launch is Thursday, July 15.
Update 2: The free Spotify iPhone app is now live in the US Apple App Store.
