It's tremendous fun watching the oneupmanship that goes on between Amazon and Apple. And it's now very definitely one-up to Amazon as far as eBooks go.
Amazon recently had to remove its tap-through to the Kindle bookstore on its iPad app to conform with Apple's new rules on in-app purchases i.e. give Cupertino 30% or else.
In retaliation, Amazon has come up with a very neat cloud Kindle reader that works superbly on the iPad.
It's a web-based way of reading your Kindle book library on-line and off-line. And it has an easy way of tapping through to the Kindle bookstore to buy more
