DigiTimes claims to have got hold of figures that show Apple's projected iPhone sales for the rest of this year...and they predict an expected sharp rise.
The company was projecting 50-million sales in the last six months of 2011 and this has now risen to 56-million, with the yet-to-be-released iPhone 5 accounting for up to 26-million sales.
iPhone 5 orders for the third quarter of 2011 have been lowered from seven million units to 5.5-6 million units, while fourth-quarter orders have been raised from 14 million units to more than 20 million units, the sources pointed out. Total orders for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4 CDMA for the third quarter exceed 20 million units, and fourth-quarter orders have been reduced to eight million units, the sources indicated.I could be wrong, but I read into this an iPhone 5 release in September, perhaps later than Apple had originally hoped. A September launch is in line with reported leaks.
