The authorities in a Chinese city have now shut down 22 fake Apple stores.
It all started last month when an American blogger in Kunming posted about "a beautiful rip-off": a fake Apple store (above) in the city that looked as good, if not better, than the real thing. Staff wore the same colour t-shirts as Apple employees and the shop even sold genuine Apple products and was proud of its customer service.
It turned out there were many more rip-off stores in the city...some good copies, some not so good.
The world's media soon latched onto the story and the Chinese authorities closed down two stores. Now, they say, a total of 22 have been shut. They say the shops were unlawfully using Apple's brand and logo.
It's not known if the stores were selling real or fake goods.
