Amazon has confirmed it's had more than 100,000 pre-orders for its Kindle fire 7-inch tablet...and that was just on the first day of ordering going live.
Pre-orders are still only available in the US, but one thing's for sure...the Fire is going to be a hit.
At $199 it's a full $300 less than the lowest-priced iPad.
OK. It may not be a direct rival to the iPad, but it's certainly going to make a dent in projected Apple sales.
