Apple iCloud Website Goes Live

The Apple iCloud website has gone live ready for the launch of iOS5 later today.

www.iCloud.com lets you sign in to iCloud services using your Apple ID and password.  It also lets MobileMe subscribers migrate over to iCloud.

iCloud lets you back-up and wirelessly sync mail, contacts, calendar and iWork documents on all your iOS5 devices as well as Mac and Windows PCs. But you'll have to wait until your install iOS5 to make it work. There'll also be an update for Mac OS X Lion to sync with that as well.

"Once iCloud is set up, it stores your content and wirelessly pushes it to all your devices. For example, buy a song with iTunes on your computer, and it will appear on your iPod touch and iPad. When you snap a photo on your iPhone it will automatically be sent to your iPad. You can start creating a Pages document on your iPhone, and put the finishing touches on it from your iPad. There’s no need to dock or sync to your computer. With iCloud, it just works".
